COSMETIC SURGERY

BLEPHAROPLASTY

BLEPHAROPLASTY

Imperfections such as under-eye bags, lines, creases and loose skin can be eradicated with blepharoplasty, a surgery that rejuvenates and improves the appearance of the eyelids. Depending on the individual case and its requirements, blepharoplasty can be performed solely on the upper or lower eyelids or on both. This surgery does not remove crow’s feet, or rather lines at the corners of the eyes, which are only indirectly improved due the eyelid being pulled taut. It cannot resolve drooping brows. Upper blepharoplasty leaves a scar that cannot be seen when the eye is open. Lower blepharoplasty can be performed with a transconjunctival (internal) incision in the case of under-eye bags without loose skin, as well as externally. Surgery is usually performed under local anaesthesia or under local anaesthesia with sedation. Surgical, as opposed to “non-surgical”, blepharoplasty, is the only procedure that can correct all of the factors that age the eyelid, not only in relation to the skin but also the muscle and under-eye bags.
