ARM LIFT
ARM LIFT (BRACHIOPLASTY)
An arm lift, or brachioplasty, involves recontouring the arm from the underarm to the elbow. An arm lift removes any loose skin, while localized fat deposits can also be removed, giving increased arm tone. The procedure usually involves a first phase of liposuction, to reduce the circumference of the arms, followed by the removal of excess skin. Depending on the extent of the procedure, brachioplasty may involve a scar along the inner edge of the arm (of variable length and potentially as far as the elbow), or a much smaller incision into the axillary fold. The surgery usually takes place under local anaesthesia and sometimes under sedation.
